Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy (PT) provides guidance, support, and education to promote the highest potential of functioning for individuals. A physical evaluation is performed to determine dysfunction, and techniques including massage, stretching, manipulation, mobilization, neuromuscular reeducation, and exercise are used to maximize physical performance
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational therapists (OTs) help people improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. They work with individuals who have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling. They also help them to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. Occupational therapists help clients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. Their goal is to help patients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives.
Aqua Therapy
Aqua-Therapy, physical therapy performed in a warm-water pool, allows for earlier
intervention, greater tolerance of activity, and easier gains in range of motion
with less pain. Water counteracts the force of gravity and decreases the effect
of weight bearing on injured body part allowing for strengthening without further
injury. Yet it still offers resistance, which can be used to strengthen necessary
muscle groups under careful monitoring of a physical therapist to match the patient’s
tolerance.
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a specific physical therapy approach aimed at decreasing dizziness and imbalance in patients who have vestibular dysfunction. The vestibular system is that area of the inner ear that, when working with the eyes, ears, and muscles, provides balance information for the brain to interpret.
Women's Health
As a woman, your body changes significantly during puberty, pregnancy, and menopause
creating several unique health needs. Many can be better managed or even resolved
simply through proper strengthening and exercise. The physical therapy program
at our facility is designed exclusively for women and allows patients to take
a more active role in managing their health
